Extended Day TK at Baldwin Lane (TK Information)

Baldwin Lane Elementary School has partnered with the California State Preschool program to offer full-day support. This will give your Transitional Kinder (TK) student access to an entire day of education at Baldwin Lane Elementary. Starting at 7:30 am with preschool, joining the BLES TK students at 10:30, and remaining till the end of the day at 3:25 pm.

If you are interested in these programs, please remember you are enrolling in two programs, the California State Preschool and Bear Valley Unified School District as a TK student at Baldwin Lane Elementary. You must meet the age guideline below for both programs. We are thrilled to welcome all our new students to the Bear Valley Unified School District for the 22 -23 school year.

Big Bear Valley Imagination Library

The Big Bear Valley Imagination Library, a local chapter of Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library, provides FREE, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children
under the age of five living within the Bear Valley Unified School District.
How do I register my child to receive free books?
In person/by mail:
1. Complete the Official Registration Form
2. Mail form to: PO Box 7008, Big Bear Lake,
CA 92315
Reading to young children prepares them for academic success! Imagination
Library gives children the gift of reading to help them get the best start in life. Every
month, a new book addressed to your child is mailed directly to your home. All children
under age five living in the BVUSD are eligible for this program, no matter their family’s
income – books are paid for by local donors.

2022-23 school Meal Notification/Information

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year
Dear Parent or Guardian:
Bear Valley Unified School District participates in the National School Lunch and School
Breakfast Program under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
Effective August 1, 2022, all enrolled students in the Bear Valley Unified School
District are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch each school day for the entire
2022-2023 school year.
• North Shore Elementary (No cost for school meals)
• Baldwin Lane Elementary (No cost for school meals)
• Fallsvale School (No cost for school meals)
• Big Bear Middle School (No cost for school meals)
• Big Bear High School (No cost for school meals)
• Chautauqua High School (No cost for school meals)
A Meal Application is not required for free meals at school. We do ask that households
complete an Educational Benefit Form (available during online registration) to ensure
our schools are fully funded.
